Currency converter
This converter uses the euro foreign exchange reference rates the European Central Bank publishes once each working day, around 16:00 CET. Rates between two non-euro currencies are calculated through the euro. Reference rates are for information; the rate a bank or broker gives you will differ.

Calculated from ECB euro reference rates, 2026-10-23. Reference rates are for information, not trading.
How it is calculated
Rate from A to B = (EUR/B rate) ÷ (EUR/A rate)Converted amount = amount × rate
Worked example
With EUR/USD 1.1253 and EUR/GBP 0.84385, 100 GBP = 100 × 1.1253 ÷ 0.84385 = 133.35 USD.
Assumptions and practical examples
Read the rate date beside the result; the worked example uses fixed illustrative rates and need not match today's reference-rate output. A reference rate is not a bank or broker's executable quote.
Cross-rate example: with an assumed 1 EUR = 1.20 USD and 1 EUR = 0.80 GBP, 1 GBP = 1.50 USD. The inverse is about 0.6667 GBP per USD. Keep the direction of the conversion explicit when using it in another calculator.
Questions
How often are the rates updated?
The ECB publishes new reference rates once every working day, usually around 16:00 CET. There are no rates on weekends or ECB holidays.
Can I trade at these rates?
No. Reference rates are published for information. Trading prices move continuously and include a spread.
Why only eight currencies?
These are the currencies the trading calculators on this site use as account and quote currencies.
Results are estimates for education; your broker's contract specification and prices decide the real values. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money.
